Electric Bike Hire

A number of people have asked about hiring electric bikes in Jersey.

We are pleased to announce that from June 1st 2011 electric bikes are now allowed in Jersey and we already have four which we are testing. 

The law in Jersey has only just been changed as there was some old legislation that made all modern electric bikes effectively illegal which we spotted last year. Following some phone calls and letters to the relevant departments we got the law amended a lot sooner than we expected! We weren't expecting it to happen until 2012 - so we're a little unprepared!

If you would like to hire an electric bike, please contact us with the dates you wish to hire and we will get back to you. In the coming weeks, you will be able to book online as you can with our other bikes. We just have a bit more testing to do to make sure all the main cycle routes and attractions are within the range of one charge.

The bikes we have are some of the highest specification electric bikes available. They are not cheap Chinese imports or gimmicky, these are the top of the range, highest spec bikes made in Europe - and having been using them for a few weeks, we can confirm they're great!
